HAPPY BIRTHDAY HYTILE !!!
HYTILE – 45 years old and still going strong . . .

Hytile opened its doors in 1965, and quickly became known for making innovative equipment that changed the way roof tilers performed their physically demanding jobs.

The development of the Hytile Cable Hoist meant it was no longer necessary for the men to load tiles onto their shoulders and climb up a ladder to deliver them to the roof. The Cable Hoist took much of the hard work out of tiling a roof and substantially cut the time it took to get the job done.The Tilecutter, and later the Trimming Tray, are other innovations that have also had a substantial impact on the way the job of roof tiling is performed.

As well as making your job easier, Hytile has always provided you with fast,friendly, reliable service. One of the people responsible for this great service is Gary Luscombe. Gary started working at Hytile when he was 17 years old, and this year marks his 40th at Hytile.

All of our customers know Gary, and there’s not one of them that he hasn’t helped out over the years. Thank you for your first 40 years here Gaz – “you know what you’re doing” – and we look forward to your next 40!

The Holmesglen Institute of TAFE Roof Tiling awards night was held in May. This evening celebrates, recognizes and rewards outstanding achievement and excellence by students, and acknowledges the contributions of staff and industry partners to the success of the Institute.
